Tennessee became the second state in the country to tax cross-border money transfers. Starting January 1, 2027, every international wire sent through services like Wise, Payoneer, or Remitly will cost $10 more - plus 2% on anything over $500. If you pay contractors or vendors abroad, your cost structure just changed.
